About Antelope
Inspired by the resiliency and determination of grassroots organizations, the Antelope Foundation was established for a simple purpose - to support community-driven organizations. The Antelope Foundation knows no geographic or programmatic boundaries. What’s important to us is people, community, problem solving and a willingness to think outside the box and be bold. The common denominator in our work is community driven. We look for inspirational leaders who are pioneering new approaches to helping vulnerable populations. We value creativity, determination, compassion and seek to support organizations that are meeting the critical needs of vulnerable populations.
The Antelope Foundation is not simply a funding organization. We are collaborators. When we decide to work with an organization, we commit for the long-haul. We are a small private foundation, so our grants are small, but we roll up our sleeves and work hand-in-hand with our partners. Our work ranges from taking an idea from inception to fruition, to helping an organization in transition with strategic planning, to simply being a sounding board for an organization that needs an engaged listener and wants some guidance.
“The Antelope Foundation fundamentally believes a community driven approach to development not only produces sustainable, transformative change - which is visible - but creates a shift in cultural attitudes about what is possible.”
Grants are either in-kind or financial or both. Our strategic engagement can last a day or a decade. We listen first and act second. All of our work is driven by the needs of partner organizations. Just as a lighthouse symbolizes a way forward, the Antelope Foundation helps propel organizations to overcome challenges and create transformative change.
Grant Making
We do not accept unsolicited proposals, but we would love to hear from you. Organizations can submit a short letter outlining what the organization does and what they need. If we think there could be a fit, we will reach out and start a dialogue. Typically, we don’t engage in a partnership until we’ve met face to face. If you are interested in exploring working with the Antelope Foundation, please complete the information under “Contact”.

Team
Full disclosure, Elizabeth and Andy are cousins who grew up in Nebraska and Iowa, respectively. Their collaboration began in 1995 when Elizabeth was working with a group of Russian entrepreneurs to start a western style bakery in in Dubna, Russia. The budget was tight, and Elizabeth needed a logo, so she called her 13-year cousin who was already a graphic design superstar and he whipped up a logo and branding campaign. Elizabeth and Andy have been working together on Antelope projects since 2013. They are still cousins and still get along great!
Elizabeth Bohart
Elizabeth Bohart is a social impact strategist with over 25 years of experience working with start-up organizations and organizations in transition – in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. The majority of her work in the past 15 years has focused primarily on projects in eastern Africa and her local community of New York City.
Bohart is an engaged listener and brings a combination of business acumen and cultural sensitivity to her work, helping partners build more impactful organizations by developing effective and efficient strategies to improve programs, systems and external communications. Bohart not only enjoys developing strategies with partners but likes rolling up her sleeves and helping organizations with implementation.

"Graphic design is a visual extension of an organization and the essence of communication. It is imperative to not only express the story and mission of an organization, but to gain insights into the language (both tone and visual) the audience speaks, and apply them across the brand and creative."
